Date: 30 December 2010 (Thursday)
Venue: Great Hall, UPM
Time: 11:00am - 12:30pm
This is my first day attending a formal event in UPM before the 1st semester begins. It is a brief talk given by the Deputy Dean from the School of Graduate Studies for all the new postgraduates touching on UPM (Graduate Studies) Rules 2003 and introduction to the students' portal. They have a very good system in managing all the postgraduates online called internet Graduate Information Management System (i-GIMS). Students can access to their portal internally and externally to check on the status, result, personal info and add/drop courses during the registration period. Their management system is so much efficient if compared to my previous UKM, haha! Well, this is a brand new beginning in my life, it marks as my transition milestone in this new year!
Sitting inside the Great Hall of UPM, I had recalled many fond memories in the past. First time when I was here, was about 9 years ago. That time I sat for an external paper called Japanese language exam for level 4 which is the very basic one and now here I am again, as an UPM postgraduate student. Time flies and many things had change. In 4 years time, I wish I will be standing here again, as a PhD Degree holder. This is not an easy task but I know I can do it! Ganbatte!
